A Poem by Gionelly Kiss

How do you expect me

To crawl upon my knees

Before your very Highness

When your love is but

Fallen leaves turning to dust

Blowing in the wind

In the ashes of the blood red sun

How do you expect me

To give my life for you

When you lie so low

Promising lies

And swearing away your rights

How do you expect me to listen

When you do not wish to obey

Your heart turned to concrete

Blocking the path

And cotton clouds fill your head

How do you expect me

To look upon you with favor

When your own eyes

Peel away from my own

Reflecting fake love

In the fiery pits of your heart

So expect me to do the same

Your voice took a huge change when it turned from almost passive acceptance to a resolute declaration. This poem has a smooth flow through and through, and the ending sure did make such a strong impact on me. Great Poem.

Keep Writing. ^___^

Beauuuuutiful. It's great how you can take something and turn it into something that people can relate to.
