~Wildflower

~Wildflower

A Poem by Clyde du Coeur
"

So rare is the flower of a beautiful girl.

"

Wildflower,
Blooming in the unknown,
Prettier than the rest;
It must be the way you dress
Wildflower,
My, how you’ve grown.

Wildflower,
Swaying in the wind,
You continue to mesmerize
As we watch – the time flies,
Wildflower, forgive us:
We all have sinned.

Wildflower,
Symbol of natural beauty,
Even more striking up close,
One
could even overdose,
Wildflower,
You have fulfilled your duty.

Wildflower,
You gave us so much,
Now you’ve passed away,
We’ll continue to praise you every day
Wildflower,
You gave us what we couldn’t touch.
