I jump reaching

a poem nothing more nothing less but on of my favorites

I jump reaching

praying I will be able to reach

thinking knowing

I can make it

or so I thought

as my fingers grazed the edge

he grabs me just before I start to fall

I feel safe but before I can do anything he slips

and we tumble toward the earth holding on to each other

knowing that in our heart we will never separate

but death knows no hearts

souls or love

in last embrace I say

never let us part

but we do as I hear our bones

crack and shatter

along with our

hopes, dreams,

future, lives,

and love.
