Her Eyes

Her Eyes

A Poem by Corazon Nozaroc
"

A sad poem about a boy and a girl

"

Her eyes

Glisten to the brim

Begging you

To say its

Not true

But you can’t

You can’t lie

To her

So you just look away

Her eyes

Look like diamonds

With pieces

Chipping away onto her cheeks

You reach up

To wipe one away,

But she stops you

And looks at you

With Disgust

You can tell

She won’t

Trust you

Ever again

Because your lies just stack up

Higher and higher

She can’t take it

It’s all too much

For her

You see her slowly break down

You back away

Ashamed

Of what you have done

To her

She avoids you

Doesn’t meet your eyes

Leaves you to suffer

For what you have done

Which shatters your heart

More and more

You can’t believe what

You have done

To her innocent Soul

You can’t handle it

Anymore

You sit

Tying knots into a rope

Hang it from the fan

Dread hanging in the air

As you stand on a chair

Tip it backwards

And fall down

So you will never

Hurt again
