Lonely Mirror

Lonely Mirror

A Poem by CriticalxxAngel
"

What the Mirror might think

"

I have cracked,

I have been shattered,

Not because of me,

But the person who uses me,

Self image is her obssesion.

She can't like what she sees,

No matter how beautiful,

No matter how stunning,

She looks at me displeased,

Maybe even disgusted by the image that looks back at her,

Trying to fit in,

Scarred by countles mean words,

That's the reason she does this,

I can't do anything but stand,

Stay in my corner,

I observe her every move,

Watch her tears fall slowly,

Listen to her scream,

Hear her critiscism,

Then one day she had enough,

Tired of caring and tired from looking at me,

She threw a strong punch,

Strong enough to draw blood,

Strong enough to break me,

Now I am a lonely mirror,

Never to be used again.

This is an interesting point of view. Very creative. Cool use of personification. I really enjoyed reading this. There is great emotion into this.
