You Missed it! (4 dad)

This was written for my father when I was a Teen. He has been a great grandpa to my kids now but when I was younger there were times when I needed him he wasnt there. I'm not the type to hold grudges so I have since forgave him but sometimes I wonder how

You say you're here for me now

Well, what happened when I was younger?

Were you there to ease my pain?

Were you there to stop my hunger?

You say you want to get together

and do what fathers and sons do.

Well, fathers are supposed to teach their sons

what real men are supposed to do.

You say that you love me

and you're very proud of me.

But, were you the one who molded me

into the man you now see?

You tell me not to worry

and to learn to face my fears

Well, were you ever there

to wipe away mine and my mothers tears?

You say that you're sorry

for all the things you're done.

Well, apology accepted....

But you've missed all the fun!
