That's When I Miss You

I wrote this about my grandfather in 2010, the year after he passed away. It still isn't easy, and I still miss him like crazy. R.I.P Grandpa. I love you.

Since you left, nothings been the same 
the house is quiet, we're all lost 
nothing feels right without you here 
you filled the silence 
you made the house full of laughter 
and now thats all gone,just a memory 
just a memory we'll never again live 
we'll never again get back 
even though thats what we want 
when the house is silent 
when we're wondering around lost 
lost in the maze of the world 
the world we can't quite figure out 
when nobody laughs 
when i can't remember your face 
when i need a smile upon my lips 
when all i want is things to be normal 
Thats when i miss you. <3
