My Promise

I will never go astray, I promise to lift you up.
I will never make you feel, that you are not enough.
I grew up in a life of very many doubts.
The doubts were not mine though, & I could never figure it out.
God gives you a mother to pick you up when you fall down.
Not one to be the reason that you are lying on the ground.
When you came into my life, I made a vow, to cherish you no matter what.
I promise not to be like my mother & treat you like she does.
She has always found a way, to make me feel like I'm a problem.
Which no I am not perfect, & scars? Yeah I got them.
I love you my precious child, I do very much.
My heart belongs to you & I hope it is enough.
If you start to believe, that I'm better off without you.
Don't you fret my child, because my life is all about you.
