To Whom it may Concern,

To Whom it may Concern,

A Poem by Donna
"

Just a few things that are on my mind.

"

To Whom It May Concern,

I have a few things that I need to get out. When

we hear about another school shooting in the United

States, everybody is devastated. For the next week,

that is all we hear on the news. The students are begging

for someone to do something. After a few days, it is done

and over with until it happens again. I don't see anyone

trying to fix this problem.

We have a president that is an embarrassment to me

as an American. What is this world coming to?

Why do we have so many homeless people?

In my city alone, we have thousands of homeless. How

could this be? Why don't we help them?

So many Americans commit suicide everyday. Why

don't we have better mental health care? We have so

many mentally ill people and nobody cares. Is it

because we have so many people living here that we

don't care if we lose some?

To me there is just no excuse for this. We need

to start helping people.

Look at our Veterans, they are treated horrible.

These people fought for us and risked there life,

and we turn around and treat them like crap.

Things need to change in America. We are headed

in the wrong direction. When are we going to get

together and make this right? Isn't it all about

helping one an other?

So instead of wasting time on talking about

building walls and deporting people, how about

we start talking about fixing our problems here

and making things right!

Wise valid questions that unfortunately I don't have precise answer for. I truly share your sentiments in disappointment in the way the world is being run right now and I truly hope that at some time, we as a whole find a solution to rid all of what's purging this world of what it truly needs... Unity and Love.

help! I appreciate your review.
Trump will eventually trip over his ego.
In saying that, did Obama do anything for America?
America like Britain seem to think they should police the world.
But as you say, they really should get their own house in order.
Mental health is the hidden disease in Britain. Poverty is on the increase. The prisons are full of ex-servicemen who fought for their country, but now seem to be forgotten.

Thank you Paull for your words and review!
Geez...you spoke my sentiments exactly here, on all fronts.
We need to get this Reality TV Star out of the White House...unfortunately, it is an embarrassment to our country that this man is representing us in this office...yes, Walls...when there are real problems facing our country.
I am beyond frustrated and embarrassed...and we elected him...wow...

Thank you Jacob, I appreciate your words!
Every word you speak is so true & needs urgent consideration! But we’re all numbed out by the firehose of calamity that buries whatever outrages happened yesterday & all days prior. If I got started on a list like you’ve done here, I wouldn’t be able to stop myself. I applaud you for being able to throw it out there in a sufficient quantity & with raw outrage, yet not an endless diatribe that others might tune out after the first few paragraphs. Here you’ve managed to dice up a huge sprawling constant condition, using some of the most egregious examples, & you make a persuasive point. We are rearranging furniture as we vote out these people & vote in those people, I fear. Nothing ever gets better. Altho I’m thoroughly disgusted with the bully in our pulpit, I also have to say it’s not this president or any of the recent ones -- at least, not that one person alone. I put much blame on Congress. But also we the people who are not treating our fragile democracy as an institution that must be participated in. I hope this year’s election brings change . . . one hopeful sign is that thousands of women are running for office for the first time. I believe this is going to bring about a seismic change (less testosterone means less posturing, so then more compromise & getting things done). Thanks for speaking the truths we all need to hear (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You should change the starting sentence from "To Whom It May Concern" to "To Everyone". Because this concerns everyone, the whole humanity. As the days pass by, we are becoming selfish than ever. We are being controlled by a 6-inch screens in our palms. Our opinions became just a WhatsApp status or an FB post. We are being more concentrated on getting likes more than addressing real issues of the world. And the government doesn't give a toss about their citizen. They are even tampering with our basic rights. But who cares, cause all that matters to us is hashtags and likes.

I am not an American. But I can feel the intensity of your words because this is not a domestic issue!
Thanks for sharing this!

Yes, you are right. It is everyone. Thank you so much for your review.
Your emotional plea is not restricted to the USA - it is a universal issue borne out of the greed and manipulation of the 'few'! There are many others who feel the same as you - only a collective effort by the 'many' will start a momentum for change! As I recall - it was one man on a cross that brought about the downfall of 'the few' all those years ago ... get writing to your elected politicians and keep on praying - it will make a difference - eventually! Bless ... :-)
