Hope

Hope

A Poem by Emily B

I fall

like Spring rain

sprinkling the ordinary

with imaginary color.

I drop

drop, drop

from an unseen Hand.

Waiting to be taken

up and begin again,

content in the pattern.

Emily, this is a beautiful representation of hope and hope's life it gives to us. Like rain, it renews us in every way. :)

“Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.”

I love the idea in this...

Hope eternally recycled ....returning
in Gods own pattern

Such a beautiful way ...to say it

Blesssssssssssss

The nicest compliment I could pay to this piece is to say that it is indeed hopeful. The images are breezy and I can almost hear the distant drumroll, and feel the refreshing spray of that spring rain. It's sparing and yet vibrant. It also has wonderfully simple echo of the haiku about it. And the hand that drops the rain hints at some vaguely religious offering.

Much enjoyed.

P.S: Thanks for the earlier review Emily - t'was very kind.

You really have a gift for expressing things in a beautiful unique way and I love the lilting, ultimately uplifting quality of this poem. From the first lines you had me completely enthralled. Excellent work here and a pleasure to read.

Hope what a beautiful thing! I hope that we never run out of hope.

"I drop

I like your repetition. Just a little bit, and not even a little bit too much!

Great write - truly inspiring.
