A Poem by Emily B
"

just a little thought I found in my notepad this morning

"

Somewhere

in the center

of a Universe too broad

for reckoning

is one pea-size thought

I haven't found yet.

It states wonderfully what is perhaps the 800-pound gorilla in the room for all writers; that we have these little snatches of epiphany which we try to weave into a coherent whole, yet the universe--the one of thought, belief, and idea as well as the physical one-- is just too large, too incomprehensible for us to wrestle to the grounds. This is actually a pretty damn big thought, and very nicely expressed.

I love this. So brief, yet so full. Your ability to capture such a big idea in so few words is outstanding. I look forward to reading more of your work.

well if it's pea size then at least you have some chance of finding it!!! (ha ha) i already have found it...my brain (rolls eyes...blushes...smiles self consciously...) but seriously...the quality far out weighs the brevity...thus making it quite substantial and meaty really...which puts pay to the vegetable theory...then again...i COULD use some sleep ;)...enjoyed...a short breeze on an all too hot day...im waffling....aren't i?)
