Fake

A Poem by GoDBOUND 07

It dwells in your heart and warms you up to the core

lives in your mind and it always asks for more.

It never tires and it keeps you awake.

And if it doesn't, then that love is fake.

When you finally sleep, love taints your dreams,

touch, smell, and feelings packed in it as a team,

flowing together wonderfully there is no image that it can't make.

If you don't feel this, then that love is fake.

Deserting your hearth and leaving you to die

you reject reality and assume that all is a lie.

Telling yourself that this is something you can no longer take.

If this did not happen, then that love was fake.

Then someone comes along and pulls you out of your misery

with words and actions that seem just like wizardry.

Looking at you, there is nothing that they hate.

That love there is genuine, not something fake.

I really liked it! At first I thought my favorite part would be the first verses, but then I read: Looking at you, there is nothing that they hate." Totally true. Even if normally a person would find heinous a certain aspect of someone and can hate it, we could say we become blindfolded when love arises. You can't hate any part of the person that is now positively stuck in your mind even if you could in any other person, I have totally seen cases like this. Thank you for this perspective of true and fake love, I would take it in consideration when I present all of these "symptoms". Loved it!!!

This is beautiful, you have real talent here. It reminds me of the first boy i ever really liked and the relationship i had with him. It's sweet and just everything about it is cute (: Amazing job!
