True Love

Love is there

or so it seems

walk away from our future

step back from our dreams

It’s not ours anymore,

so I guess it's just mine

no time for talking,

this could be a sign

A pattern of love,

a game I can't win

Am I ever supposed to?

Where do we begin?

Always wishing,

will it ever come true?

Am I important,

something to attend to?

Always wishing,

will it ever come true?

If you take it away,

I'll have to make do

Never to have it

never to dream,

to never be happy

drifting downstream

deeper and deeper 

never to stay,

never to need me

all has turned grey

over and over

a picture to portray,

empty forever

all went away

This pieces brings back feeling of intense longing. I have buried so many feelings that only hurt me, but I am reminded of how much a truly crave true love. It sounds so perfect, which in itself makes it seem even more impossible. You paint a wonderful picture of need, and love, and craving for that affection. I hope one day I find it...I just got out of a 3 yr relationship and I thought we were gonna get married and that he loved me...but he lost interest. at first we loved each other so much...then it felt like I only loved him later...

True love is perhaps my greatest of inspirations. I'm just realizing that if I truly believe in true love and I am being the best person I can be than we will find each other . Because true love never fails if even if you don't know him yet. Cause whoever he is he believes in it too and yearns for it just as much. and knows that with every good step he takes in your life is one step closer to you. Love this piece!
