Known

You must of known. So many clues, issues beyond you

For so long it's shown. It has always been there

you must have been aware, couldn't have been ill prepared

You must of knew. There was not much that you could do

You dealt your best. And so much time that you invest

But you knew... You must of caught clues that you...

You walked into a mess. Even if it perked your interest. 

There was no way you could of been eschew

I know you tried. All you wanted was to confide

wasn't much you could do on the other side. It's true

But you...

You must have knew. Couldn't have been blind

There were so many clues. In plain view 

Shouldn't have been hard to find

Did it ever cross your mind

even if you missed the signs

When your heart was on the line 

Did you ever wonder why 

before it all ensued

Was there enough to conclude

Did curiosity ever intrude

Before during or after

The good times, the laughter

Did you see signs of disaster

You must of known 

So many clues, issues beyond you

For so long it's shown.

You must of knew, noticed clues. 

Or did you lose focus. 

Only so much that you do. You did your best. 

Even if it turned out to be a mess. Never showed interest

You remained true but you... 

You must of knew was in plain view. 

It was always there, you must of been aware... 

Couldn't Have been ill prepared. Or maybe it was transparent. 

Did you look right through? And what you felt. It was so true

It was so real. All you knew was what you feel
