Frosted

Frosted

A Poem by Jayanthi Manoj

The pang has been deep frosted

in my refrigerator,

the freezer is iced in pain

no room for even small items.

I know I can defrost  it

melt it and cry away

or it would be done
when the power fails,

but I won’t do it

it will melt then

and there would be a new frost again.

I love this frost

and I am inhospitable to a new visitor

I love the present ice

Let it atleast stay with me, since you’ve left.
