A Poem by John Anderson

Listening
to the
stillness grow,
thunder distant
rumbles low,
raindrops fall
from heavy skies,
wiping sleep
from mornings eyes,
a passing burst
as sun breaks through,
a freshness filled
with life anew.

Nice piece John. Listening to the stillness grow, beautiful. A good flow, snappy, refreshing written like it was meant to be.

Your piece conjures an image of such layered depth that one is held in your talented device until released there at the end

John you've spoken my language with this one. No matter how grey the day is the sun always rises again giving hope to new life.
