Jaded

Jaded

A Poem by Mescaline Butterfly
"

Desire for a thrill

"
Im jaded
Mentally constipated
My mind raided with thrill-seeking urges to make me elated
Dissuaded by social norms
I want to see something violent or naked
I need that rush - Full throttle
On open road pushing a superbike to maximum velocity
or blow my load in a supermodel
With maximum ferocity
The lottery of genetics has my dopamine levels low
I'd rather blind fire an M4 carbine than shovel snow
or rebuttal foes
Perhaps in another prose
but I suppose I am an adrenaline junkie
and a literary pundit
I never strived to be a flunky
My ambition is abundant
I cannot stand to be recumbent
I gravitate towards danger
A safety plan, to me, is redundant
Especially at the edge of a cliffhanger

Raw, candid thoughts ambitious in the way you lay them before your reader and imply, 'This is me, take it or leave it!' For so many in today's madness the choice to live wildly, dangerously, is a choice most would turn away from. But high diving off a blind cliff top, or speeding this way or that, makes life LIVE . You state your case very clearly.
