For the One...

For the One...

A Poem by MsJewel
"

comforting memories

"

art ~ garmash

In sunlight’s grace,

                             warm with the day

in memories I long to stay

as windows shine with golden light

once dark with grief,

                      while in my sight

like dawns soft glimpse in morning skies

a comfortable silence will rise

and nightmares pass as dreams once sought

are bleeding ink,

                       sharing a thought

to honor one whose touch  inspired

my sweet love songs…

              love never tired

and lives on as flowers bloom

                                      serenity fills my room

with beauty found as tears that stained

               will dissipate

       while love remains

in whispers of my poetry

and the comfort of his memory

my sweet love songs…
love never tired
This is a very sweet and lovely poem....every day we leave the night that sun is coming with a new hope, and truly love will be never tired.....I love this line and too inspired that I'll make one with this live one. Beautifully crafted for heart touch. thanks.

Thank you. I appreciate your wonderful comment. :) Julie
This is beautiful. The meter is fantastically consistent, with one exception. The line "a comfortable silence will rise" doesn't quite fit with the placement of the accented syllables. Changing 'rise' to 'arise' would fix it, but I don't think the meter has to be perfect. As I said, this poem is already a beautiful expression of saudade. That's a Portuguese word I learned in Brazil. It's been explained to me as a sort of homesickness for a person, and I like to think I've learned what it means and how it feels. Your poem feels like that.
