A Poem by MsJewel
"

"

What you were looking for, and what you found in me, and what you see, is just the sun at dawn...Reinfried Marass

                    She is eternal youth

                rising with the sun…at dawn

                fresh as the morning light...

Innocently floating upon the linen clouds

                towards a destination once unknown

now captured in the moment of her being

                Like a poem

                written in satin scented script

flowing with the love of whispers on the wind,

                      she is a melody,

                                          not to be held

                            but seized for an instant

in the shadows of a recollection once forgotten

                           yet, never growing old

                She is eternal youth

                                        caught only in a memory

Ah, for me, this is the way we see ourselves. We are still in high school....aren't we? We are still 18 and we are still ready for anything.....unfortunately not true, but the way we see ourselves sometimes. Of course, I have a feeling this could be about your daughter. In any case, this is well written and the imagery is lovely. I liked the change in margins. Lydi**

WOWZA Julie... the human spirit is meant to be free to find what makes it fly. Especially in its youth... I found so much magic in your verses.

My pleasure dear Julie.
love the third verse especially .. sparks a clip of the poets hand and forearm writing in long hand ... not sure anybody remembers the term let alone the practice ;)
well done to both of you .. you have stitched it together with no scarring ..
eternal youth .... "caught only in a memory" ...alas!!! big sigh! :))

This has a whimsical, ethereal quality to it as it floats lightly and airily across the page.

like a poem that we can read, we get enjoyment from it...but we don't own it...only visit with it for a time...and the poem stays forever young, as those who come along years from now will read it and it will still be as young and beautiful as it once was.

Eternal youth caught only in a memory. Many of us would prefer not remembering all the foolish choices made in youthful choices. Valentine
