Let me just give up on the desires and yearnings when you clearly don't know about yours.

Don’t look at me like that

Like you’re finding

The right words to say

Like for once you have

An answer for my scars

Don’t make me drab and empty

An agonizing void anymore

Let me just give up

 

I cannot bear the highs and lows

Mingled into one

Pressed against my heart

You don’t understand the pain

Of being not okay and waiting

For a part of you

That stares at me while I blink

My tears away

So let me just give up

 

Like poison I have seeped

Into every syllable

Of your unsaid words

Struggling to be a part of you

When you look at me

Like this isn’t good for us

So let me just give up

 

You give and take away

A familiar ache in my heart

I never want to feel again

So let me just stop trying

When you have left weary of me

Let me just look away first

If I don’t do it, I never will

Let me just give up

The pained silence

Without any words, don’t pull me back

Let me just give up
