Just Plain Me

Just Plain Me

A Poem by Just Plain Me

I'm just plain me...no fancy words, no big lights.
My name isn't famous, I dont have designer clothes.
I snort when I laugh, I've been known to have a temper.
I'm stubborn, I've been hurt.

I'm just plain me...the bookworm, the quiet one.
My hair isn't perfect, I don't hear your insults.
I am blind to many things, I've never been kissed.
I'm a small town girl, I've always said what i think.

I'm just plain me...always saying the wrong things, always laughing.
My views are different, I protect my friends.
I wont reveal my true feelings, I've been jealous.
I'm not your average person, I've been called mean things.

I'm Just Plain Me...and you can't change that,
No amount of yellling, No matter how you try,
No whispering behind my back, No telling me I'm wrong,
No complaining to my father, No calling me a brat,
None of that will change this one fact.
