Peace is all I ask

To  be quiet and still.

 

A dove with an olive branch

Alighting upon my breast.

 

Ease the burning heart

Slake the unending thirst.

 

Peace is all I ask

To know and reach ideals.

 

An ocean crystal calm and smooth

Nary a ripple in waters.

 

Calm the swirling storm

Shatter the violent streak.

 

Peace is all I ask

To embrace silence and harmony.

 

A dream, an end to a means

A beginning of reconciliation.

 

Freedom from strife

Worry is no more.

 

Peace is all I ask

To embrace me.
