In Our Garden

In Our Garden

A Poem by Kay

Let me kiss you there,

plant a ruby-gowned rose on your chest,

right where your heart makes music,

more beautiful than the tap-dance

of a gentle midnight rain.

Let me glide my tongue there,

taste the sparkles in your follicles

as a few buds of sweat bloom clear crystals

upon the heat of your blushing skin,

like candy in my mouth.

Let me stroke you there,

feel your nervous joy climb our arbor

of tiny, tender honeysuckle touches,

the stems of your fingers intertwining

in harmony with mine.

Let me see you there,

watch the raw roots of your naked skin

exposed in the garden of this small world,

with your large patches of beauty,

growing in my sunlit love.
