Misunderstandings

Misunderstandings

A Poem by Kay

Misunderstandings happen,

but nobody was willing to understand you at all

except my eyes that recognized your pain,

except my lips that soothed your worry,

except my arms that warmed your shivers,

except my cheeks that accepted your love,

except my heart that knew you better

than to judge your missteps as failure.
