A Picture of Love

I remember the bliss,

Of your first kiss,

That warm tongue,

And tender lips

 

That refined shape,

And of late,

Your face reminds me,

Of a portrait

 

Which I held,

In my hands,

When you travelled,

To distant lands

 

Away from me,

But your thoughts were near,

And my intentions were crystal clear

 

A rose for you,

I longed to spare,

To rest gently,

In your black hair

 

I think you know,

What could follow,

Timeless love,

Or endless sorrow.

I think this is very beautiful. it's melodic as some of the other reviewers stated. It flows so sweetly and then you end it by saying that it could end with
"timeless love
or endless sorrow"
causing it to be almost bittersweet because the reader realizes that it could end in sorrow...excellent write as always!
