chained and waiting

chained and waiting

A Poem by Kiari Sabon

Against a stone wall.

Cool against my torn skin.

The tug of steel chains on my wrists.

Others chained along the wall.

Some kick the ones next to them or yell at ones near to them.

Their fighting each other these prisoners of life.

Some yell for the jailer to take them away, “Oh come and take me death from my bonds!”

Others yell, “Stay away from me death!”

Me I have torn my flesh to bring him to me and each time he looks at me and says, “Not yet keep waiting you shall.”

I ask this of ye how long will that be?

That painted a clear picture...not a good one either. Other than that, amazing piece of poetry you have there

Short and straight to the point - my kind of poetry. I liked it... 'I ask this of ye how long will that be?' for eternity...
