My Destiny

My Destiny

A Poem by BlakHeart
"

For my friend that is gay and to everyone else

"
You do not know how it felt to be hated
To be disgusted by all
You do not know the feeling of pain
To be disliked by all

You do not know what we have been through
Unaccepted by the scociety, the church and your family,
Humiliated by all
Discriminated by many

So who are you to say those words to me
To slap the order of the scociety
To say that I am not the son of God
And berate me for my wrong decision

I did not what any of this
I did no wish to love the same gender
I did not dream to be like this
This is my destiny

if two people are in love, who cares if they are the same sex! terrible how the righteous berate the minority. nice work!

There's a lot of pain in this experience, and you've expressed it in an extremely powerful way. You have clearly voice the feelings of many people in this situation. But while the final stanza is very heartfelt and moving to me, I disagree with the final line. The pain and shame of this experience are not a person's destiny. Sexuality is a part of our identity as human beings, but it is not our entire identity. Each of us, no matter our feelings or actions, is a child of God. Nothing can change that. Everyone deserves respect, although many people say otherwise. Those people are wrong. Even if we do not condone acting on same-sex attraction, we still need to treat those people who do act on it with kindness. God overflows with mercy. We human beings need to strive to do the same.

Thank you so much. :)
It's a very sensitive topic and I can relate it with my frnd's life... We have created manufactured iPhone 7s, but we are still in the mindset of 19th century... It's a shame on humanity the way it treats homosexual people... It's a sad and naked truth of our society...

Excellently presented deep message... Very well done frnd...

Sincerely
Dhiman

Thank you so much. :)
I would say it again that classifying homosexuality as a sin and alienating homosexuals is extreme narrow-mindedness and this action is simply idiotic and contemptuous. This poem brings out the challenges that homosexual people have to face in this world. So well-written. Keep writing.

Its very hard not being accepted and to be put down even mocked. It hurts sending shock waves before the air well said in all I think you meant to say want when you wrote this part-I did not what any of this. Its ok we all get stuck on one word that's where the emotions play:)

Your very welcome
The pain of not being accepted can be felt very clearly in this poem. Society has a fixed set of rules and we fail to understand those who are different from the norm
