Sink [Right Down] to the Bloody Floor [ACROSTIC]

Sink [Right Down] to the Bloody Floor [ACROSTIC]

A Poem by Kitty

Slicing away at my wrists,

I start to feel numb.

Needing to feel the pain – I

Know I’ll never see the sun.

Tomorrow is just a fantasy

Only found in dreams;

The reality is

Having blood flow from my wrist in streams.

Every time I cut,

Blood spills from my arms, I’m

Loving this feeling

Of self-harm.

Only when I do this

Do I feel satisfied.

Yearning for more – wanting to

Feel as though I’ve died.

Losing all hope

Of living anymore,

On my knees I sink,

Right down to the bloody floor.

This is so powerful, so painful to read. To realize that psychological horror can be so overwhelming that only physical pain can seem to alleviate it... So deeply moving!
