Poem about my father

Hey daddy, what shall I do
In that heart, inside of you, I no longer exist 

We no longer hold your hands and you have a cold appearance

He doesn't have feelings for you and me anymore

Even though love was evident at first, we have lost our love of him. 

I want to be loved, even though I am right here

You are looking at something far away from us 
So drained, my heart of love 

I want to be loved, even though I am right here yet you showed no sympathy 

Saying goodbye to you without any sadness or tears when you went to that cold grey building 

Please hold on our good memories even for a bit despite my brother and I not remembering any precious memories

Although my feelings for you don't reach you and you just turn your cold back on us
Drugs and alcohol are more important than we could ever be

Sad poem. Addictions can send family relationships into turmoil. The pull of drugs and alcohol to an addict is so strong, that it takes over everything. I wonder whether they ever think of the damage they are inflicting on their loved ones? Perhaps they can't even think anymore. Children suffer and I have seen it so many times. Children need parents to love and protect them.
