Return to Camelot

Return to Camelot

A Poem by Kristan A. Mohammed
"

Continuation of "For Camelot".

"

You will die.

Only when you find something worth living for.

For Camelot!

We’ve been breathing in the darkness,

I long for the light.

Hostage from freedom

Not a speck of hope here in sight.

We’ve been screaming in silence,

It’s time to get loud.

Broken in battle,

Sorrow littered all on the ground.

My heart is pounding faster.

At dawn we ride.

We’ve forsaken our treaty,

And summoned a fight.

Conquest of fear,

She will lead the light out of sight.

We’ve been fighting for forever,

And standing our ground.

Devotee to pain,

She will lead my army around.

I hear them getting closer.

At dawn we ride.

I am but…

…Reverence.

Left your soul…

…In suspense.

Mighty hands…

…Of defense.

Save me from falling.

I have found…

…Sanctity.

Your rebound…

…Vanity.

I have found…

…Divinity.

When, will, this, quest, end?

Great show of boldness in changes of emotion. I have never been on a war time battlefield but I can only imagine the flow of thoughts and feelings. I believe you captured this great inner energy very well.
Though poetry may seem gentle and laid back on the surface, it is really the perfect forum for the telling of the human experience in the stress filled arena's of battle. Poetry allow for the acceptance of the wide ranges of emotional changes.
Your writing was well thought out and polished . I enjoyed it very much.
Richie.

Thank you very much for your thoughts Richie.
Wonderful! I love poetry with unique flow and stanzas. I could feel the arduous nature of the events taking place. Well done.
