Nobody taught me how to love you

It was already in my heart

Sometimes it turned out bad

And I knew that all those happy endings

Had a way of turning out sad

Nobody taught me how to be a man

Or how to take care of my wife

But I knew you would help me face my fears

As we walked together through life

Nobody told me you would die so young

And leave me here all alone

But I knew you'd make me the person I am

The person you've always known

Nobody told me I would have to go on

Though I told you I would try

But the one thing today, I still haven't learned
