The othe side of the coin

I was that guy,
trying to find the
perfect lies to paint
your life for one night
or a couple of times.

I forgot the realness
of another person’s heart.

I forgot actions ripple
in time,
and got caught
when happiness arrived.

I was happy with
one girl after
a long time.

But I guess my debt
wasn’t yet paid,
she left without
a kiss goodbye,
not even an explanation
to understand.

And then, when
another “girl of my dreams”
came, it broke my heart
when she said she lives
20 hours of flight away.

I just can't.....

In one very dark night,
no moon at sight
nor stars,
with a beer in hand,
I heard myself ask:

Who gave me the right
to play with someone’s heart
in the past?

Leandro I really liked this. It felt so contemplative. I could feel his remorse...even if only realized through his own loss. Loved the "perfect lies to paint your life" then "I forgot the realness of another person’s heart." and finally ending with the question at the heart of everything. Well Written.
