Night

Night

A Poem by Lexi
"

A dark poem illustrating the battles within oneself, the scary thoughts floating through ones head.

"

Precious metal always calling

Never leaves but always haunting

Demons hiding the under bed

Wait till night to paint with red

Day ends soon

Stuck in that room

Defy the lie

Vie to fly

Dry don't cry

Get by no red-eye

Imply not comply

Try not die

 Tears stream out

Just had another bout

Chest tight

Can't win this fight

Stay strong

Never sounded so wrong

Go away

Don't come back another day

 Defy the lie

Vie to fly

Cry yourself dry

Red-eye but get by

Imply or comply

Try or die

 Hours pass

Close to relapse

Scared to death

Out of breath

Shaky hands

Find the bands

Defy or lie

Vie or fly

Cry won't dry

Red-eye can't get by

Imply becomes comply

Try or die

One slice, two

Demons got through

Wrists and thighs marred

Scars on the scarred

Wars fought within thyself

This is my personal Selph

 Defy is a lie

Vied too long to fly

Cry while bleed dry

Red-eye with goodbye
Implied and complied
Try became die
