The Sea of Loss

The Sea of Loss

A Poem by Pali
"

This poem depicts the ,somewhat, process individuals go through when experiencing great loss, such as that of a very loved one.

"
It all starts with a calm, peaceful journey,
you never expect the worst to be coming,
you sail through silent waves , alongside nature,
but that's when all good begins to fracture.
The waves, they rise high into the air,
soaring like blue clouds of despair,
your anchor grows unsteady you're bound to crash,
but you hold through and pray for the best.
Soon after come storms so large and hectic,
they steer within you turmoil and panic
as though they're a twisted product of the demon's imagination,
or so you think ,but wait till it all at termination.
Once the waves are at calm ,and the storms long gone,
only then will you see that the distress is done.
You'll come to realise that this place is better than any land,
where an angel awaits with arms wide open,
it leads you to a place so pale and bright,
it's as though you stand on a ray of the sun's light.
Your journey at sea now long forgotten,
you take a step through the doors of heaven.
