Perplexing, this one. The refrain is driven home with it's repetition; four times. Perhaps symbolic of the four seasons of life? Someone near and dear or a fantasy; or both. It's hard to tell and yet the sentiment and emotion are undeniable. Tell me, M., did you pen this one with much difficulty?

Thank you, no this was written two years ago while I was still very much engaged in a novel I was writing. This is from the male characters' perspective...so not personal to me in any way...and is meant to be a song
