Just shedding my skin...

Sometimes we have to get rid of the old to welcome the new..

 

I stand alone

Under the sky filled with such rage

Below is an ocean of new beginnings

To start anew, leave all behind.

 

Oh how divine it would be

To just move forward

At the tip I stand

Just shedding my skin.

 

Of old..

Memories of pain

Hurt..

Faded dreams.

 

Of once long ago

A place I once knew, lived

Yet now gone, as the wind of yesterdays

So gently they leave.

 

And here I stand

Filled with so much

But holding so little

Just me, myself.. Alone.

I agree with that statement. Sometimes you have to let go of the past so you can finally start a new life, have a new beginning. The hardest part in trying to find yourself is to let go of everything that has held you back. All the pain, all the lost dreams, doing whatever it takes to move on. The hardest part will always be, how do you start.

The good part of shedding is the chance to grow anew..i love the picture you choose..I think of the ocean as cleansing sometimes as well ..
