All about

All about

A Poem by MarDam

Hard to hide.
Harder to reveal.
What could that be?
Is it just me,
Or are we?

My mind is free, but
I am captive.

Once upon
a time butterfly flied
As I am in my own mind.

Thoughts are dragging me around.
“To the Neverland! “, they say.
And I am already there.
Everyone’s happy to see me,
All of my friends.

Here they are.
My favourite eyes.
It’s them but they are as one.
Nothing like us.

I think I heard something
across the fence:
“Baby, where have you found
  the bread?”

I instantly flinched.
Is it a stunt?
For a moment
Body stopped.

I quiverd because I knew.

Mirthless everything would be,
Mindless everything but you.

Scatterd in crumbs I’ll be
That’s the only shape
in which you’ll see me.
