Whispers

Whispers

A Poem by Maskedthoughts

Whispered words
And heart felt glances
Hushed promises
And ravishing dreams

A set of heavy hearts
And clenching chests

A couple of minds
Trying to blur the lines

Two people parting ways
Going on their different days
Soon to be they will reunite
Until that time I cry through the night.

Hush, hush let's set our selves free
We will fly back when it's meant to be

Now off we go and off we see
Don't forget to remember me

It's in the night and through the day
In the tress and within the water
It's in the sun and out the moon
We will see each other soon.

Author's Note

Maskedthoughts
This poem is very personal and very dear to me. As I wrote it from the heart about something I recently went through. And just a side note I love for people to interpret my poems and take something from it. I love for people to find a piece of themselves in poetry because that's what I look for. But just a fun fact this one in fact is not about a guy.

Your poem is beautiful and touching. The way you describe the emotions of separation and longing is both vivid and poetic. Your use of imagery and metaphor is particularly effective, and it helps to create a sense of wonder and introspection in the reader. I think that your poem is a testament to the power of art to help us process our emotions and connect with others.

I love the title of this poem. It's quite relatable, If they return it was meant to be. Beautiful write.

If you let them go and they return...it might be meant to be..-- and should they fly - and pass us by-- just another lesson learned.------- you've inspired that--- and I dig this peom :)

This is perfectly titled, as I heard it in hushed, secret, confiding tones, like they would use in a dream sequence in a movie. Parting ways and forget me not's build this into a beautiful piece of writing, that I feel is happy, despite the parting, as it will not always be so. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed this.

You're very welcome.
Crazily beautiful poem. Definitely this is something that everyone has been through at some random point or another. Pretty tragic, really, when you think about it. This is some really great work, good stuff!

I like this poem & agree with you. Sometimes you need to respect the spaces between the relationship. Let go n live free. If we really meant for each other, We will see each other soon....

Welcome friend:)
Beautiful poetry.....it is haunting, when we long for someone. When a gap is left in our hearts, that only the presence of a specific person can fill.......:)

thank you!
It takes me somewhere i dont want to go
We all dont want our pasts to come close to us and tap us from behind
Instead we can take it forward with us and support it
Because your past with someone makes your present with every one
Beautifully penned poem.:):)
