Silence

Silence

A Poem by Ana B.

Between the whispers of the rain drops

And the howling of the wind

Between the echoes of the rocks

The smoky veil has thinned…

Unbroken and wise, the silence speaks

With a heartfelt voice

Of the dried tears on the cheeks

And of wars that make no noise…

Of the gloomy thoughts on a Tuesday afternoon

And their ramifications…

Of the happiness that’s so hard to resume

Because of the haunting perfections…

Of the life that slips away

Without sense and trace…

Of the hearts we keep in disarray

In the silence’s embrace…

Thanks for reading Rudi :)
Silence is mysterious. A pile of secrets within a being. But it is an double edged sword that can cut you while in defence. I love the thought in this poem. Great as usual. Keep posting Ana and keep intriguing my thoughts

Thank you KO :)
This piece is well written and delivered, what I found so fascinating is the fact that you made
heart break sound beautiful, unfortunately many of us deal with one slipping away and I
personally wouldn't be able to describe it in such a beautiful poetic form:) fantastic wording
flow and creative format, thanks for sharing and b-blessed!

Ana: I love your writing; the hidden memories we reveal in the 'silence' of our thoughts; the search for that time that existed. You described heartbreak in a beautiful way. So sad. Thank you so much. Dale

Welcome :) ^_^
this has those "sounds of silence" echos...but in the same breath...i hear the Moody Blues singing "Tuesday Afternoon, i'm just beginning to see, now i'm on my way"

if we do begin to see, then we certainly are on our way...

and maybe to an understanding of "the hearts we keep in disarray"

fantastic piece of writing...this has your voice, and it is heartfelt.
