Stained Glass TearsA Poem by modtoddincContest entry poem using The Weeping Woman by, Picasso
Eyes wander jagged and black
Flesh peels against death’s back
Corrosive tears reveal hard white bone
As shards of glass fall through cracks,
Inside pain; a punch to the stomach,
Chewed up feelings; pulp and grumble
The raw suffering screams of a broken woman,
These daggers point to heaven,
While the mourning continues, without end,
And she holds the world to her bosom.
