Enticing the Dragon

Come fiery dragon, sit with me awhile.
Come let me gently stroke your scaly brow.
I'd like to see your yellow toothy smile
And know that you feel soothed by me somehow.

Stifle for my sake, your fiery style.
To scorch a friend would not be good right now.
Sit down and belch a puff of dragon smoke,
And I will do for thee all that I spoke.

A very well written and entertaining poem. The word choice was good and it was amusing to read. Overall, a good poem.

I love dragons too. I shall share some of the awesome pictures I have of them, though you may have seen some of them already.

Yes! MANY poetry styles. Even styles within the styles, like Haiku having many forms.

I've been writing poetry since I was a child, but I still have a lot to learn. I like the old fashioned rhyme and meter style of poetry, but have tried my hand at Haiku and other styles. I hope to hon.. more..
