A mystery unto ourselves
Conditioned to not see the connections
It does not have to be this way
As above, so below holds the clue
To we who dwell in the center
There are signs of truth surrounding us
The clear sky is colored blue
As is the sea who bore life in the beginning
We call our home the Blue Planet
The atmosphere surrounding earth is blue
Our candle flames burn in the center with blue
We define a person as true blue
Being one of inflexible honesty and fidelity
We need to recognize this energy for what it is

Let us also strive to be conscious of acknowledging each other
For our good deeds of kindness and consideration
This feeds the spirit within each of us
By this means we honor our value
And rekindle our true blue nature

So true! Your friend Kelly has some interesting thoughts; if only more would stop to think them.

"As above, so below holds the clue
To we who dwell in the center"

This line is especially interesting to me, perhaps because of its sense of mystery.
And, of course, the last stanza says it all. We in life have been 'trained' I suppose one could call it, to ignore things. Maybe it is simply our coping mechanism, but we ignore our problems, our responsibilities, and we ignore acknowledging and being grateful for the good deeds done by others.

Nice way to capture it all in poetry. Well done to your friend!
