All I Can Be Is Me

All I Can Be Is Me

A Poem by Dalaina Renee
"

For All Who Have Tried To Change To Please Someone, Then They Weren't Happy Anyhow.

"

All I Can Be Is Me

All I can be is me.

I am not you.

You are not me.

You can not change me.

Though you always try.

That is up to me.

I lay in bed till noon.

Stay in my robe all day.

Awake when it's night out.

Whatch tv, and let my mind stray.

So, I may bug you with my habits,

and quirks.

Well...nobodys perfect.

And I think you're a jerk.

Since I like to hang out with myself

any-way, I think you should leave now.

Please go away.

Yesterday you were kind enough to read: Aunty Em Saves the Day. I would like to thank you for taking the time. And of course, I was interested in reading your work. This poem is so true and you write it so easily. Very simply written using common words that fit together with feeling.

Whatch - watch

any-way - anyway

This would make a good companion piece to my "No Game Zone". I enjoyed this a lot.

Haha, how cute. And so darn true. I like the playful nature of this. I did notice a couple spelling errors, sorry, grammar police ;)
Sense = since
your = you're in the you're a jerk line
A delight to read!

I like the innocence of this poem...
The imagery your metaphors provided uniquely gave a since of time, color, and feeling.
I enjoyed reading!
