Daddy... What Have You Done...

Daddy... What Have You Done...

A Poem by HereWithoutYou<3

I lived 13 years of my life with you.
And just out of the blue.
You hit her, our mother.
And yet you do no not know how we suffer.

We stand in the middle trying to stop you.
But this you refuse to.
We call the cops to take you.
Away from harming us, hurting us like you do.

I cried for a long time, not because you're gone.
But because your my father and looking at what you have done.
It brings me pain
Because hate is something I can't contain.

Now we are gone out of your life.
And I am not afraid to look twice.
Because I won't change my mind.
Since everything is replaying and leaving me behind.

And I say good bye.
To a man I called daddy as I cry.
Cuz I know I will miss you.
But not beg you to come back, with everything I have gone through.

HereWithoutYou<3
This is what has happened to my family, and it's been hard... But we will get through this because as my mom said, we don't need a gills to keep swimming.

I can relate to this very well. My father left us about 6 years ago and the memory is still freshly implanted in my mind. You expressed your feelings about this traumatic experience beautifully. Remember, people can't make you happy, sad, etc.. without your consent. You can either give them that power or take it away, don't make the same mistake I did and let him control how you feel. And remember, if ever you need someone to lend an ear, give me a shout.

Thank you for sharing this painful part of yourself with all of us here. Sharing pain is one of the hardest things to share with people you do know.

The pain is always sharpest when it comes from a source close to us... being no stranger to abuse and abandonment, I feel for you and can truly relate to this. Stay strong, and keep writing....

Aww, this is so sad. But I love it. (Not because it's sad, though. because it's really good!)
I'm sorry this happened to you.
Great job on the poem, though(:

aaawww....I'm so sorry for your loss. But your right about your father....He should not have done that to you. But even so, i'm sure you miss him. After all, he is your father.
