Shooting stars

Shooting stars

A Poem by Nashwauk

Spent some time staring at the sky but found no magic in all those stars.
If there's someone there that can answer wishes then I wonder why they're ignoring ours.
Before you left you wished I'd change but we both know that never happened.
Now your gone and I wish you weren't but were no good at second chances.
What goods a wish that goes unheard or a happy dream that doesn't last.
A shooting star that no one sees or one more day stuck in the past.
Still every night I try again cause I don't know what else I can do.
So I keep wishing on falling stars and I'll keep wishing til one comes true.
