No Silver Lining

No Silver Lining

maybe a work in progress..

No Silver Lining

In knowing

Memories often fail

And bruises always fade

I had hoped

To save the essence of her

In all those places we once played

A thirst well quenched

A sorrow deeply drowned

Tho no silver lining lines this cloud

There is deep loss here in your words Neville. A love carved deeply into your core. And though time passes by, the hurt no longer as raw as it once was I get the feeling that when you reflect it is the sadness that rises from the depths and not the happy times. If the cloud has no silver lining, then you have not dealt with this loss. Beautiful poetry,

Chris

hauntingly beautiful, trying to find the bliss in and through pain, wise and flow with the deep tear that is still dwelling inside the heart, another deeply amazing one dear Neville.

The view seems very bleak from here then. I can't imagine not having silver linings...memories often fail, yeah...
Written in a simple way but so much deeper to feel this one.

There is a lot of pain in this piece. When loss is upon us, it cuts deeply, and bleeds slowly. Grief can make the world very bleak. Beautifully expressed.

Even silver lines fade away with time, but the experience we lived.... will leave a lasting impression, that we carry deep inside like a precious jewel, for the rest of the time. Your lovely words creat beautiful images. dear Neville!

Beautiful words woven into an expression of a lost love.
Your words a natural flow that carry us on a zephyr of dolor. Then just ends leaving us hanging.
Finding the right words to end on takes skill like the base note of a fragrance, it lingers.
