The Audacious Truth

There are those I've heard say

That they've never feared of anything

And they've never feared for anything

I held my tongue at their words

 

For if they spoke the truth

(The audacious truth!)

Then these poor souls 

Bore the horrid weight of cowardice

In the deepest reaches of their hearts

 

Cowardice in its rawest form

 

For if fear is never seen

Then courage is forever blind
