WHEN THE MIRROR BREAKS FOREVER

WHEN THE MIRROR BREAKS FOREVER

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

An introspective poem for the contest.

"

If it's any consolation
In this world of desperation
And without collaboration
I will give to you the moon

So without dismay or sorrow
I will order for tomorrow
Every joy from which to borrow
Gypsy rainbows for your hair.

When the mirror breaks forever
And the pain is bursting ever
From the glare that ceases never
On the window panes below

Then the clock will stop its ticking
As you climb the stairs repeating
That the heart has stopped its beating....
And you pray your final prayer
~~~
Thank you for your kind review! ~Sharon
So tender and poignant.
Sad but yet hopeful. Just beautiful.
"Gypsy rainbows for your hair" is such an astounding line....
Beautifully penned.
