Breathe

Breathe

A Poem by Kathryn Smith

The news is s**t.

So I Inhale deep.

But I cant.

I cant find the air.

Head feels fuzzy.

Mind goes black.

I cant breathe.

I cant concentrate.

I'm sorry for pausing.

But

There is no oxygen

In my lungs.

Until you said hello.

And I woke up with a smile.

I dreamed a dream of you.

And I could breathe.

You made my heart happy.

Giddy.

Fuzzy.

And I could finally.

Just breathe.

Very essential and needed. You sum it up marvelously...:)..............

Usually the wonderfully amazing man 'takes your breath away'! But I am glad the dream of him helped you to breath again. But with all the bad news we are fed every day it is a surprise that any of us can breathe. Good for you for writing this poem.

"I could finally just breathe."
