Fire

Fire engulfs me all around
Can’t move
Can’t think, five feet off the ground
Strapped down tight
Trying to escape with all my might
Pain searing now
Every inch of me blackening by the second
Screaming with no sound
Help me, help me
I don’t to die
Please lord
Are you there up high?
I’m dying slowly
Nothing to comfort me as I make my way
To the open grave
I can hear it calling my name through the flames
